Puffin - Free Pattern

Image
It may surprise you, but there are puffins in the Pacific Northwest! I made this pattern based on the Atlantic puffin because they're easier to recognize, but we have the tufted puffin native to us here! I chose to give this stuffy long legs, so they can dangle over the edge of a shelf, much like my free amigurumi goose pattern . Do you have any puffins in your area? Salamander or Newt - Free Pattern

Image
This little pattern can be altered to create any kind of salamander, newt, or lizard you'd like! I chose to make a rough skinned newt stuffed toy, as they're my favourite native one! The difference between a salamander and a newt is that salamanders live on land except for breeding, and newts live in the water most of their lives! If it's an axolotl you're looking for, try my axolotl pattern here ! Salamander or Newt Free Amigurumi Pattern Materials Yarn (I used Loops & Threads Soft Classic Solid yarn) Crochet hook (I used a 3.5mm hook) Safety eyes Tapestry needle Stuffing Stitch marker Scissors   Abbreviations (US terms) ch - chain sc - single crochet inc - increase dec - decrease hdc - half double crochet dc - double crochet tc - triple crochet ss - slip stitch FLO - front loops only BLO - back loops only mc - magic circle (...) - repeat the part in parenthesis specified number of time (#) - number of stitches after finishing the round   Finished Size Approximatel...

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of bugs and insects. While ants can be a pest for some people, I think they're adorable! They work so hard, cooperate together, and love sugary snacks! I hope this pattern can help someone out there appreciate these little creatures a bit more. For more delightful creepy crawlies, check out my free bumblebee amigurumi and free banana slug pattern ! Goat - Free Pattern

Image
Goats are always my favourite part of visiting a farm, so I decided to make one of my own! They’re so silly and social! I love watching them play and frolic. There's only a little bit of sewing involved in making this plushie, since the feet are worked as part of the body. You might need to play around with the positioning of the feet to get it just right for where you put the face. This is an alternate version of my  free puppy amigurumi pattern , so check that out if you enjoyed this pattern! I also have a free mountain goat pattern here , if you want more goaty goodness! Goat Free Amigurumi Pattern Materials Yarn (I used Loops & Threads Soft Classic Solid yarn) Crochet hook (I used a 4.5mm hook) Safety eyes Tapestry needle Stuffing Stitch marker Scissors   Abbreviations (US terms) ch - chain sc - single crochet inc - increase dec - decrease hdc - half double crochet dc - double crochet tc - triple crochet ss - slip stitch FLO - front loops only BLO - back loops o...

Duck - Free Pattern

Image
While ducks come in all shapes and sizes, the mallard is easily the most recognizable. They're common, friendly, and cute! Their little legs when they swim are the cutest part to me. You can switch out the colours to make almost any duck you’d like! Check out some of your native ducks, and you might be surprised by how many colours and patterns they come in!
