Axolotl - Free Pattern

Image
Axolotls are so cute, so it only makes sense that they're popular right now. Since they're endangered and difficult to keep, it's illegal or impractical to keep them in a lot of places, so we'll have to make do with a crochet plushie version! There's lots of different morphs out there for inspiration, or you can go nuts with whatever colour you want! Also try out my  free capybara version  of this cute, round toy! An axolotl is also included in my salamander, newt, and lizard pattern pack on Etsy. Salamander or Newt - Free Pattern

Image
This little pattern can be altered to create any kind of salamander, newt, or lizard you'd like! I chose to make a rough skinned newt stuffed toy, as they're my favourite native one! The difference between a salamander and a newt is that salamanders live on land except for breeding, and newts live in the water most of their lives! If it's an axolotl you're looking for, try my axolotl pattern here ! For an updated version of this pattern, see my fire bellied newt pattern here!
