Low Sew Wolf and Deer Sibling Dolls Pattern Release!
Wolf and Deer Dolls Pattern Release!
The patterns are available on Etsy here or Ravelry here!
My latest amigurumi patterns are out now! This set includes a deer big sister doll wearing a green dress, and her wolf little brother wearing blue overalls. As usual, the grey wolf and white tailed deer are animals native to North America.
I started off with the idea of making a larger doll type toy, and thought a deer would make a good animal for it as they're known for their long, graceful legs. Once I was done with her, I thought she needed a companion of some kind, and thought the pattern on her face could be modified to look like a wolf. Going with that idea, I decided to make the wolf slightly smaller and a bit more masculine so he could be a little brother.
I got the idea of making overalls from my garden sheep family patterns because I really enjoyed how simple it was to incorporate clothing into the pattern by doing overalls with this method. The puffy, two layered dress was something I had been wanting to try out for a while, and was the core idea that this project was based on.
These larger plushies have been a big hit with the children I know. I think they'd make a great gift idea for children with siblings, both current and future. I love the way these patterns turned out, and I hope you enjoy crocheting them as much as I did! Thank you for your support, and see you on the next pattern release!
