Mini Bunny Keychain - Free Amigurumi Pattern

I'm back with another mini keychain animal, and this time it's a cute little bunny rabbit. As with the others, this quick pattern is good for using up scrap yarn, and works well as a party favour or small gift. This pattern uses bobble stitches for the legs, so you only have to sew on the ears and tail! Try my mini keychain skunk pattern if you liked this one!

Mini Bunny Keychain Free Amigurumi Pattern

Materials

Abbreviations (US terms)

  • ch - chain
  • sc - single crochet
  • inc - increase
  • dec - decrease
  • hdc - half double crochet
  • dc - double crochet
  • tc - triple crochet
  • ss - slip stitch
  • bob - bobble stitch (4 incomplete double crochets)  
  • FLO - front loops only
  • BLO - back loops only
  • mc - magic circle
  • (...) - repeat the part in parenthesis specified number of time
  • (#) - number of stitches after finishing the round

 

Finished Size

About 2 inches long. May be different for everyone based on yarn thickness, hook size, and tension.

 

Pattern Instructions 

Body

In main colour
1. Ch 7, skip the first chain from the hook and do 5 sc, 3 sc in the last chain. Working on the other side of the chain, do 4 sc, inc. (14)
2. Inc, 5 sc, 2 inc, 5 sc, inc (18)
3. 2 inc, 5 sc, 3 inc, 7 sc, inc (24)
4-6. Sc around (24) (3 rounds total)
7. 3 sc, bob, 5 sc, bob, 6 sc, bob, 5 sc, bob, sc (24)
Embroider a pink nose over 1 stitch between rounds 5-6. Embroidery black eyes over 1 stitch of round 5. 
8. (2 sc, dec) x6 (18)
9. (Sc, dec) x6 (12)
10. Dec x6 (6)
Fasten off, sew the hole closed

Ears (make 2)

In main colour
1. 6 sc in mc (6)
2-4. Sc around (6) (3 rounds total)
Fasten off, leave a tail for sewing

Tail

In white
1. 4 sc in mc (4)
2. Sc around (4)
Fasten off, leave a tail for sewing

Attaching Parts

Sew the ears over rounds 2-3.


Sew the tail to round 2-3, centred with the back legs.

Now you can add a keychain ring if you'd like! I have a tutorial here for if you need help.
